Adjustable height monitor stand - a review

I bet I am not the only person in the world who has bought a monitor - with a fixed height stand - thinking "yeah, that will be fine on my desk", only to find it is not. OK - too low can be fixed with an old copy of yellow pages, but too high can be annoying if you have no desire to mess with your comfortable seating position.

So- I have just bought one of these.

£30 at Amazon, but I have seen it for as low as £23.
It is heavy, and solid, considering the cost. It attaches to your monitor's VESA mount. My 19" (non-widescreen) LG monitor is now more stable (at any height) than it was on the original stand. Other monitor sizes are mentioned in the link. Not sure why the base is silver when the rest is black, but it actually looks very smart. May be of interest if your neck is telling you something is not quite right.....
