Acer PC stopped working after 8 weeks

Having bought an new Acer desktop from Comet 8 weeks ago it wont power up just beeps repetitively. Rang Comet who said I should ring Acer who said they would sent someone out.

I would prefer to take it back and either get my money back exchange it.

Do you think thats reasonable ?

The store probably has a 28 day returns policy.

Once outside this time, you'll have a fight on your hands getting them to replace it rather than accepting a repair.

That is, of course, a Hardware fault, is the responsibility of the Vendor and not the Manufacturer, for repair. Regardless of any additional terms that they may offer. Have a quick word about Responsibility with your local Trading Standards People before ringing Comet.

If I remember my codes rightly, continuous bleeps would likely be a Memory problem.
