Looking into buying a new laptop for surfing the web and playing games. Not expecting the laptop to run Crysis on full specs (or anywhere near) but want it to be half decent and play most newer games pretty well.

Been looking around for the last couple of days and have come down to the Acer Aspire 5920 (Model - LX.AKQ0X.121)

I have found this for 600 UK Pounds delivered.
(Specs below)

Do you think this is a good deal?

Do you know of anything better value for money for around the same price?

pretty much am I doing the right thing buying this laptop or are is my money better spent elsewhere with dell etc?

The specs are as follows:

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium,
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 ( 2.20 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 4MB L2 Cache),
15.4" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite™ LCD TFT,
1*2GB & 1*1GB RAM,
250GB 5400rpm 5400 Hard Disk Drive,
1X HD DVD Drive,
Mobile Intel® PM965 Express Chipset With NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT 512MB,
Intel® wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) ,
8 cell Li-ion Battery,
5 in 1 card reader (SD), (MMC), (MS), (MS PRO), (XD),
0.3 MP Crystal Eye Webcam,

Thanks very much for any replies.
