Can anyone help, how much difference is there really with these cards when playing games honestly? Cheers

Then bear in mind that the 8800GT is a very powerful card capable of playing games at very high resolutions with high settings and AA/AF turned up.

Under those settings an up to date game will be using a lot of video memory.Having 512MB will help smooth out the game compared to 256MB under those circumstances due to being able to load all the data onto the graphics card rather than swap some out into RAM memory on the pc.
