11-12" Laptop - Think I'm down to 2 choices.....

Hi, in the market for a 11-12 inch laptop/notebook. Think I have narrowed it down to 2...

click here differences I can see are :

ASUS - (£280) Intel Pentium Dual-Core (Not sure 100% if its 1GHz or 1.5GHz)with 4gb ram

HP - (£230) AMD A4 1250 - 1 GHz with 8gb ram

Any advice on which is the better deal, the HP is obviously a refurb with only a 3 month warranty but would be happy to take the risk if its a better deal. (Can also extend the warranty to 1 year for £20)

Or if anybody else has any suggestions on a sub £300 alternative!

Thanks in advance

Dave

The Asus 200E is a nice laptop (I have one) but the Pentium version is likely to be quite slow. I have the i3 version.

Do you need the touchscreen?

I have the earlier Windows 7 version of this Acer laptop for a couple of years and have been very pleased with it.

Thanks both.

So is the processor on the HP a better choice?

Touch screen isn't really a necessity. Happy to look at other alternatives
