At the moment i have a windows XP Home edition PC and want to change to Mac OS X Panther. Is this any way possible without buying another computer and just the Mac Operating System.

I am not quite sure whether you can load Mac OS on to the Windows Platform?

It is the actual PC itself that will not accept the O/S. It is not compatable with Intel /AMD systems.

Think of it as put diesel in a petrol car

I use virtual p.c. on an ibook, got it for free and it's dreadful. All it is is an emulator that will run windows xp, and it does it abysmally slow. But atleast the kids can play dos games in the car. lol

You could get an emulator from click here
. The pear pc v0.1.2. (JITC). I have never used it so cannot comment on it's performance. I would guess that the performance of this is equally dreadful. The only thing going for it, I think, is it is free. Although you would need to purchase Panther or Jaguar to run it.

Bad enough swopping data files between "similar" programs.

Apple Mac and the PC share little except a passing physical resemblance.

I think I will stick with XP. Thanks for the help anyway.
