I don't know very much about it, I am using ntl broadband cable modem with ethernet connection to Win. XP Home SP2 and sometimes, using the same ethernet cable, I go online with a Mac OS 10.3 is a router like a two way connecter that would make it one going in and two coming out so that I could have both machines connected at the same time, but not both online together.

Cheers, wobbly.

Since you can go online with each of the pcs off the same cable, you could use a second cable and attach both pcs to the router at the same time. This would allow both to access the internet at the same time and, if set up properly, allow you to share files between the two.
