hi, i know what it is, and why, but is there anyway i can get passed it. i have an xbox plugged into my video using scart lead, but i can't view dvd's on my tv because of the macrovision. i have an rf lead but now i can't use my hi-fi for sound, as the leads are in my video. any suggestions?

Plug your Xbox direct to the TV and not via the video recorder.

yeah, recap, i have done that already. my question was wether i could put my signal thru my tv using rf cable, while at the same time still recieve my sound thru my video, and thru my hi-fi?? it appears i can't. so is there a device to remove the macrovision?
