Mackintosh - Excel users

I am having a problem with code for an inputbox. The following line has been stripped from a larger code module and found to have the same error. Compile Error: Syntax Error!

Sub Test

i = inputbox("Trial","Test")

End Sub

I tried to Dim the i to no avail, any help on this disparity between the Mac and MS versions of Excel would be appreciated.

Clutching at straws here but have you tried

i = inputbox(prompt := "Trial", title := "Test")

Thanks for the suggestion, it may be that the Mac version of Excel is far stricter on the use of 'variables'.

I have sent the suggestion to the USA for verification, either way I will post back.
