Machine not booting up fully

My machine is running on Windows 98 and every time it is in the process of booting up at the front end user interface it just freezes - nothing else happens.

On one occasion I hit ctrl alt del just before it froze and noticed that there were about 20 Waol in the current task lists so I think that it was trying to open these all up and it just crashes because it cannot handle this.

I do not know how to sort this out. I did notice that in the startup tab in msconfig that a web dialer was initiated so that is why aol was trying to load it up, I deselected it from the startup list and my machine went bananas again.

I then managed to go back to the startup list in msconfig and selectd it again and it worked okay after that.

If anyone has any solutions please help!!!

If you have dialers you probably have other parasites as well. Try Spybot click here
