Mac fan problem

Hi.

Iv'e had my Macbook for around 2 years now and it has worked brilliantly up until a few months ago.

Now after opening a few internet pages I always seem to here the fan running and then quite often the multi coloured wheel appears and pages freeze.

I often move anything stored to an external hard drive and have quite a lot of free space left.

The only thing I can admit to is that I do leave the laptop on for days maybe a week at a time without restarting or shutting down.

What could be causing this.

Thanks.

Vacuum the vents out. And/Or blow them out with a can of compressed air.

Google 'speedfan for mac' (or CoreTemp)

See if you can get a Mac utility for temps.

If you are running 75 deg C + under load, and have vacuumed, you may need to open the laptop and have a dig around.

Google Mac disassembly or find a .pdf Service and Maintenance Guide.
