You don't say what your O/S is.
Every network interface card (NIC), also known as an Ethernet card, has a unique hardware address. This hardware address (also called a MAC or physical address) looks like 12:34:ab:56:cd:78 (six sets of two character hexadecimal numbers separated by colons (:) or dashes (-); a hexadecimal number consists of the numbers 0-9 and letters a-f). Follow the instructions below for your operating system.

Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows ME

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in winipcfg
Press OK
Make sure the adapter type in the white drop-down box is set to your NIC adapter (not PPP or Dial-Up adapter).
The MAC address will be displayed on the Adapter Address line.
OR

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in com
Press OK
Type winipcfg
Press the Enter key
Make sure the adapter type in the white drop-box is set to your NIC adapter (not PPP or Dial- Up adapter).

The MAC address will be displayed on the Adapter Address line.

Windows XP

Click on the Start button.
Select Control Panel.
Double click on Network Connections.
Double click on Local Area Connection.
Click on the Support tab.
Click on the Details button.
The Hardware Address (MAC) is labeled Physical Address.

Start/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt.

You will see a black screen, type in:

ipconfig /all

then press Enter.

Mac address is the Physical Address.
