The pc i am currently using requires a RAM upgrade from 128Mb to 512Mb.

However i do not know what RAM is in it....and i don't really want to have to open it up so is there any way i can tell what the RAM is without looking at it. Unsure of what the motherboard is.

It uses an XP1800 processor with Win XP Home, i do not think it has DDR Ram, but as i said unsure, so what are the possible types of RAM in this machine?

On deciding this, what RAM is best to buy. i normally buy from crucial, should i buy unbuffered and non parity as it is cheaper? unsure person here!!
