My son now has a Macbook (Leopard 10.5.5)and although we have tried all the obvious things we can't get it to print to the network printer which is a Brother MFC-215C attached to a desktop running XP Pro. All our windows based laptops print to this printer without any problems. I have googled this and all the answers seem unbelievably complicated - can anyone help me with a straightforward solution to this problem please?

a. how is the laptop connecting to your network?
with a windows setup you normally on the laptop have to go to add a printer, then network printer and browse to the pc with the printer connected. As long as firewalls etc allow passage that is normally it. Not familiar with macs.

I should have made it clear that it is connecting wirelessly to the network.
