'Holy water' machine aims to stem swine flu

Catholic churches in Italy have come up with a novel way to help prevent the spread of swine flu.
Instead of parishioners dipping their hands in traditional fonts, an electronic machine squirts holy water for them.

What a good idea.

Since this is standing water I would have thought it more effective against Legionnaires' Disease.

If I believed in charms and potions I would be a bit sceptical about the efficacy of this "holy" water if it can carry disease.

Perhaps a drop of Dettol would be cheaper.
