Can I use iTunes for non-Apple MP3 Players?

We have iTunes on our PC and laptop, and have bought numerous ipods, nanos and shuffles, which we use with itunes.
We have bought our 8 yr old a Samsung MP3 player for Christmas which was highly recommended and hopefully will be a little more durable than an ipod as she wants it for bouncing on her trampoline.
Will I be able to use itunes to load it or will I need to use different software?
thanks!

If you use iTunes to create MP3 files you will be able to drag and drop onto the Samsung without any problems.
