Can I stomach this.

Morning all.
Due to ill health I have lost a fair bit of weight,I think taking nothing via the mouth these last few months played a part. Most welcome I might add this weight loss even if the docs are not quite so happy.
Anyway I'm looking to gently firm up what are American Friends like to call abbs.
Is there a bit of equipment that might help, the emphasis is on gentle,so no suggestions of sit ups.
Thanks folks.

Electrical muscle stimulation may be the way to start click here

You can start as gently as you like, and work harder when you feel up to it.

Inside four months people will be able to clog dance on your stomach.

Join a pilates class, did wonders for me.

Ah,having people clog dance on my stomach,I must admit, not an ambition but the rowing machine is a thought, though space and cost will be an issue.
thanks anyway.

Have you got a link to the actual machines.
Thanks.

needn't cost the earth, and lots of them fold up when not in use.

click here for an example that's £109

I joined a local council gym which has helped.
I train with someone else so we both benefit from it.
Most gyms will help you out this way.
I've lost 2 stone since the start of the year.
And my waist size has gone down 4"!!!!

Tesco also do the rowing machine FE has linked to (click here) for a few quid less.

You might want to think about having a chat with your doctor before you start working out, especially if they're not happy about the weightloss in the first place.

Some gyms (maybe postal code areas and NHS involved) and doctors work together to allow free access to gyms I believe, though I have never tested this theory out. But if you ask you might get free gym access, they normally have rowing machines.
