Applets will not load
I have been on a Web Page course where I have designed a Photographic Business. I am using three applets which I obtained from the anfy Web Site. The applets worked OK at the college and also at home. I have got three computers, one with Windows XP and the other two with Windows 98 SE. I am sure that I used both Window versions when I was working on the Web pages, but now, it will only work on the Windows XP. On the other two PC's, all I get is a grey or blue shape where the image should be. I have had to reform and reinstall these two Window 98 PC's, and I dont appear to have any corrupt files. I have gone to Tools/Internet Options/Advance tab and checks everything the same as the Windows XP machine. I have also gone to anfy and downloaded one of the Applets, with all the Class files, it still doesn't work on Windows 98, but it does on Windows XP. Can anybody sort this problem out for me, I would appreciate it very much, as it is driving me up the wall.

Re AndySD,

I am not sure what the IE versions are, they are not Version 6, I think that they are 4 or 4.5, they come with the Windows 98 SE installation.

Re AndySD,

I have sent this second response as I have found out both PC's have version 5 IE, sorry about that.

Hmm 5 should be ok

Have you tried going into Internet Options and made sure Jave is enabled?

My experience is that with a firewall applet doesn't wok properly .If you have try to disactivate and run the applet

AndySD,
I have installed IE Version 6, and the three Java boxes are checked, but still no luck. I can't understand why it works on the Windows XP Machine and not the others. I saw an article in a magazine saying Microsoft's Virtual Machine may be the answer, but I tried to get a download for it, they have it listed, but it is unavailable.

Mark-it,

I have not got a fireball at the moment, so it is not that.
