I've just been given a monitor as above and want to try and use it with a standard windows PC with a VGA socket. The monitor has a plug with 15 pins, 1 row of 8, 1 of 7 (DVI male?) Does anyone know if there is an adaptor lead that will make this possible or are they just not compatible?

I asked a similar question a while back ..

more recently I've discovered a specific answer to your question ... you can connect an Apple flatscreen monitor to your PC BUT you need a graphics card with a DVI input and one of these doohickeys from Kustom PCs

Mind you, I would have thought it would be worth shelling out for a new graphics card and adaptor as the Apple display is so lovely.

Thanks very much for your response, having been reassured that it is possible, I have managed with the use of Google to locate and order such an adaptor.

Thanks again
