PC Advisor readers vote Amazon Best Online Retailer of 2012

The best brands and technology of 2012

The unrivalled king of the online retail space, Amazon.co.uk takes our award thanks to its unparalleled array of products, at competitive prices. And the margin of victory was staggering: Amazon garnered around 80 percent of the vote in this category. Amazon is the market-leader in e-commerce, showing the way to other sites and services in terms of convincing consumers to buy. But our Reader Awards poll show that it is not merely successful at making money. Amazon is hugely popular with PC Advisor readers, and a worthy winner of our Best Online Retailer award.

About the PC Advisor Awards 2012

Our annual roll call of honour considers every piece of hardware and software that has passed through our Test Centre over the past year. We look for innovation and excellence, outstanding performance and value for money.

Only excellent products make the PC Advisor Awards shortlist, and we congratulate all the manufacturers represented on the list. If a product still looks great from the view point of up to a year after its first review, the chances are that it is great.

That does, however, mean that our PC Advisor Awards coverage is not necessarily a buyer’s guide – for that you should visit our Test Centre and Reviews. Some of the products may no longer be available, and in some categories they may have been superseded.

Whittling down the shortlist to pick out individual winners isn’t easy. In all cases arguments could be (and were) made for products other than the eventual winners. But winners there must be.

See pcadvisor.co.uk/awards for details on our other award winners
