While Microsoft's unveiling of Windows 8 has dominated Twitter over the past few days, there have been some other tech issues that have got users of micro-blogging site talking. Here's our five favourite tweets of the week.

Windows 8 features for laptop users

Microsoft officially unveiled Windows 8 this week and even made the developer preview available to all web users. We took the opportunity to take a sneaky peek at the new operating system and picked out the features that laptop users are bound to love.

I found an iPhone, can I use it?

Ever been walking down the street, only to stumble across some lost property and wonder whether you can legally keep it or not? While you may not think twice about the jumper lying in the road, an Apple iPhone may stop you in your tracks. We took a look at just whether you're legally allowed to keep an iPhone if you find it in the street and the chance that you'll actually be able to use it.

What's the best student tablet?

Tablet PCs are the must-have gadget of the year. And if you're at college or university, you may be considering blowing your student loan on one rather than a budget laptop. Fusion Garage unveiled its brand-new Grid10 tablet this week. Associate editor RosieHattersley was lucky enough to take a look at the device, which is based loosely on the Google Android operating system and has an open-source ethos that appeals.
