Rockstar's GTA 5 has been around for a while now on Xbox 360 and PS3, but when will GTA V be released on next-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One, and the PC? Here's where we take a look at the GTA 5 release date on PC, PS4 and Xbox One which is now been confirmed at E3 2014 and tipped for November by a retailer. See also: Grand Theft Auto V review.

GTA 5 release date: PS, PS4 and Xbox One

GTA V launched in September last year but only came out for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers. If you don’t own one of those consoles then you probably want to know when it will be launched on other platforms – namely PC, PS4 and Xbox One. See also: PS4 vs Xbox One review: Next-gen games console comparison.

As we expected, E3 2014 has brought some good news on the subject and the firm has revealed that GTA 5 will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this autumn. We'll give you a specific date as soon as it's announced.

Update: Retailer GameSeek has updated its GTA 5 listings stating that the game will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 7 November.

Rockstar said: "Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California"

GTA 5 Map: Los Santos in full

Rockstar got so close, but the GTA 5 map was leaked at the final stages of the game build up.

The GTA 5 map shows Los Santos, the city where the game is set. Rockstar has said it will be bigger than the game worlds of GTA IV, GTA: San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption put together.

GTA 5 release date - 17th September 2013

Rockstar has also confirmed that on the GTA 5 release date, the game will be immediately available to buy on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. It is still yet to be confirmed if the game will launch on PC, Wii or even if a cut down game will appear as an app. nVidia has hinted that it will launch on PC.
