Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) have teamed up to lead this year's ICT delegation to Silicon Valley.
Fifty delegates from over 30 Hong Kong technology companies headed to the tech hub on Sunday for a six-day visit.
Participants included Hong Kong's first full-service incubator investment platform provider NEST.
As part of the trip, the delegation participated in the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield, where one company represented - MailTime - was selected to present its start-up ideas and products to the panel of judges.
Also on the schedule will be tours of Microsoft's Mountain View campus, as well as a networking event co-organized by tech accelerator Plug and Play Tech Center and tech community F50.
"We are extremely pleased to collaborate with the HKSTPC for this year's ICT delegation. Cyberport and HKSTPC, in fact, are strategic partners, for we share the common goal of nurturing the local ICT industry for the betterment of Hong Kong's economy" Cyberport CEO and delegation chair Herman Lam commented.
"Through the trip, our delegates are able to gain overseas exposure and possibly unlock even more cross-regional business collaborations. We look forward to even more cooperation opportunities in the future."
