Apple is set to open new retail stores in Paris and Plymouth.
Zara and Bershka stores in the Drake Circus Mall in Plymouth are closing down, in order to make way for a new Apple Store.
Drake Circus Mall is reportedly undergoing a "stores shake-up", with Zara and Bershka stores set to close on 1 June. Workers who were made redundant as a result of the closures were informed that Apple would be taking over the 15-year lease, reports The Plymouth Herald.
The workers informed The Plymouth Herald that they were told Apple made Zara bosses "an offer they couldn't refuse."
The Apple Store will take over the 21,054 square foot unit, which could spell trouble for Stormfront, as the Apple reseller also has a store in Drake Circus Mall. A Stormfront spokesperson told The Plymouth Herald that the company is "in discussions with Apple."
The new Apple Store would be the 34th Store to open in the UK.
IfoAppleStore.com reports that Apple is hoping to take advantage of the millions of people that visit Disneyland Paris each year, by opening a new store just a mile away from the attraction.
The store will be the seventh store in Paris, and could open by October according to hiring schedules spotted when Apple listed an East Paris job opening on its website.
