Jeffrey Arndt, formerly Symantec Australia APJ channels and alliances director, has filed a lawsuit against Symantec Australia alleging unfair dismissal, according to documents filed with the Federal Circuit Court of Australia at Sydney.
Arndt served as Symantec Australia's director, channel sales from 2010 to January 2013, according to his Linkedin profile.

Symantec Australia managing director, Brenton Smith, was also named as a respondent in the filing.
Symantec Australia spokesperson, Debbie Sassine, declined to comment citing legal proceedings and because the matter is not yet finalised. Arndt's legal representative was not immediately available for comment. Smith did not immediately respond to request seeking comment.
According to a 17 June court hearing in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the matter has been referred to mediation, which is to be completed by September 23, 2013. In the event, the mediation is not successful, the applicant is required to file and serve evidence on affidavit by 18 October 2013, according to the order.
The legal matter is to be listed for hearing between December 2 and December 3, 2013, according to the order.
