Performance PC vendor, Razer, is bringing its Blade range of ultra portable notebooks to Australia.
The 14-inch Blade and 17-inch Blade Pro notebooks will be available from October 18 for $2699 (US$1999 in North America) and $3399 respectively.
Both notebooks come with an Intel Core i7-4702HQ CPU, 8 GB DDR3L memory and 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M.
JB Hi-Fi is Razor's Australian retail partner, and stores only will stock Blade notebooks with 256GB SATA III SSD hard drives.
128 and 512GB SATA III SSD editions of the notebooks can be purchased from Razerzone.com.
Razer co-founder CEO, Min-Liang Tan, describes JB Hi-Fi as a "good exclusive partner" for Razor products in Australia.
"What we really wanted to do is focus on service and support, so if there are any requests from customers, they can go through JB Hi-Fi," he said.
Tan adds that demand for Blade has been high in the US, so the vendor does not have enough units to go around.
"We're expecting them to be sold out pretty quick even just through JB Hi-Fi, so we don't have the capacity to make it available to more retailers," he said.
Even though Blade will be available in Australia in small quantities, Tan said the vendor will replenish supplies as quickly as possible to meet demand.
