The story, "Sony says 400 customer names, emails from mobile division leaked in China," posted Sept. 6, included a translated quote that implied an incorrect time frame for when Sony became of hackers' claims they had accessed a server.
Two paragraphs in the story have been changed as detailed below.
The second paragraph now reads:
The company said it began investigating immediately after a message was posted on the popular text-sharing website Pastebin on Sept. 3 by a group called "NullCrew," claiming to have accessed Sony servers and listing logins and email addresses. Sony said Thursday it had confirmed details of the breach.
The fourth paragraph has been deleted.
