Just before the Barclays Premier League season kicks off this Saturday, ESPN has today launched their new-and-improved Goals app.
The ESPN Goals app allows users to watch every goal from all of the 380 games, view live stats and watch video highlights - completely free of charge.
The popular app has undergone a few changes over the summer, with new features such as an in-app social media function, allowing fans to automatically notify other ESPN Goals users on Facebook and Twitter of the highlights that they have just watched. ESPN Goals has also improved video quality and design across all platforms.
Another enhancement includes the option to view studio-based programming, such as its pre- and post-match analysis around ESPN's live televised football footage. There are also video previews of upcoming matches featuring ESPN's line-up of football experts.
The ESPN Goals app introduces a new fan personalisation feature, allowing users to receive instant news from particular clubs – including top scorers and assists stats.
With the new Android version, users can place a Widget on their home screen displaying live information when games are on.
Unfortunately due to FA restrictions, the same minor issue of waiting until 5:30pm for the goals from the 3pm Saturday fixtures still arises.
The free ESPN Goals app is available on IOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry and Android Devices. More information can be found at the ESPN Goals website.
