"To date, the subsidised laptop market has received some bad press due to poor equipment and frustrating customer service experiences. O2 is stepping into the market with a promise to turn this around by taking a holistic approach to the product offer.
"Our package ticks every box when it comes to the main purchase drivers in the market, which in turn means we are taking away the 'worry-factor' involved in buying a laptop," said O2 CEO, Ronan Dunne.
Purchasers of the laptop and mobile broadband bundles will also benefit from McAfee security software and free O2 Laptop Support until 30th June, which will help them get up and running. The cover can then be extended for an additional cost, which has yet to be concerned. O2 customers purchasing the laptops after 1st June will be entitled to 30 days free O2 Laptop Support.
Users will have the option to extend the cover for an additional charge as well as the option to subscribe to the O2 Assistant Software service ensuring their laptop can be fixed remotely. The machines also come with a two-year extended warranty.
The mobile broadband and laptop bundles will be available in-store or online from 27th February.
