LG Electronics is planning to venture back into the laptop business this year, after having exited the segment around two and a half years ago. The company may launch new laptops globally in as little as two mmonths, according to a report from CIOL.

The company's decision to start manufacturing laptops again is a positive sign for the market, considering the "slow patch" PC sales have run into of late.

LG has a big market share for monitors and also makes home appliances, TVs, and other computer accessories. The South Korean electronics company has also, however, lately been introducing more mobile products, including the super-thin Optimus Black Android phone and the 3D-enabled G-Slate tablet. We can look forward to more LG laptops as well, now.
