TalkTalk has launched a Home Mover Service, designed to make it easier to transfer your broadband service when you move home.
According to the ISP, if you're moving into a new home that isn't covered by cable and don't already have a BT landline, you'll need to sign up to BT for a telephone line before immediately cancelling and then switching to a new provider of their choice. Unfortunately this incurs a £120 charge.
However, with the TalkTalk Home Mover package, which is priced at £29.99 for existing customers and £59.99 for new customers, the ISP will handle everything, ensuring the consumer does not incur any extra charges.
"Customers have more than enough to worry about when moving home, so we're pleased to be able to take the hassle - and a lot of the cost - out of the process of getting your home phone and broadband up and running," said Wendy Becker, managing director of TalkTalk.
TalkTalk said consumers should contact them as soon as they have a move in date.
