The Carphone Warehouse is helping Brits escape the credit-crunch by offering free broadband and landline calls to those who sign up to its TalkTalk Eseentials package before March 2.

talktalk_logo_150The package, which is available on an 18-month contract, is priced at £10.50 for the first year (the cost of line rental) after which, it will rise to £16.99.

Also bundled with the deal, which TalkTalk claims offers up to 8Mbps broadband access with a 40GB download limit, are free evening and weekend calls to landlines and a wireless router.
