Be Broadband has announced it will allow its users to optimise the settings of their internet connection.

There are four different settings; standard  - ideal for everyday use; optimise for speed - designed for those who use the net for media such as BBC iPlayer and YouTube ; optimise for reliability - for those needing to guarantee the least amount of downtime, such as VoIP users; and Gaming Mode.

Be Users can change the settings by logging in to their online Member Centre and selecting from the four options.

Felix Geyr, managing director of Be Broadband, said: "As consumers become increasingly sophisticated in their internet needs, the one-size-fits-all approach will no longer suffice. While the speed of your internet is still dependent upon your individual broadband connection, this new service will allow Be members to get the most out of their broadband".
