Section 8: Prejudice has been updated today with the promised Free Skirmish mode. This new competitive multiplayer variant pits two teams against each other in a "team deathmatch with a twist." Players receive Victory Points for each kill, but also for completing dynamic objectives which pop up during the match. Control Points cannot be captured or hacked in the new mode.

As well as this new update for existing Xbox 360 and PC players, the PSN version of the game (which includes the new mode) is also set to launch later today. Watch out for it on the PlayStation Store today for $14.99. PC players can currently grab it from the Games for Windows Marketplace for just $7.49.

In celebration of the new mode and the PSN release, TimeGate Studios is holding a Game with Devs night on July 31 between 5 and 8pm ET. The event will take place on the Xbox 360 version and will allow fans of the game to not only play alongside the developers but also have a chance to talk about the game and ask questions. XBLAFans.com will be offering some prizes for the game sessions in collaboration with TimeGate and Microsoft.
