EEDAR has released survey results showing the percentage of HD console owners that have purchased DLC in the last 12 months. And while it shows that 49% of gamers haven't bought DLC within in the last year, the percentage of gamers who have is up from 34% in 2009 to 51% in 2011.

But what's most interesting about the report is that among the myriad of reasons why some gamers aren't purchasing DLC, "Privacy" is listed as the main thing that's holding them back. This, of course, comes after the recently slew of hacks, including Sony's PlayStation Network, in which numerous accounts were compromised.
