Kevin Butler announced on August 26 that he was tired of being the VP of everything and had gone off to be president of his uncle's flooring company.

PlayStation fans needn't fret, though -- he's back in Sony's latest marketing campaign, dubbed Long Live Play. The campaign will be rolling out across the web, TV networks, retail and social media from today, as Sony begins what is presumably a big holiday push. With a strong lineup of games inbound coupled with a new lower price point for the PS3 -- and this year's PSN debacle a distant memory for most people -- Sony clearly feels confident.

"[Long Live Play is] designed to celebrate gamers from all walks of life and recognize you for making us who we are today," writes VP of product marketing Scott Steinberg on the PlayStation Blog. "We are committed to the continued expansion of the types of services and content that have made the PlayStation name synonymous with interactive entertainment and hope that through the Long Live Play campaign our dedication to you, the PlayStation fans, truly shines through."
