Ubisoft has announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers and PlayStation 3 Uplay members can download the Assassin's Creed Revelations multiplayer beta from today ready for the multiplayer demo to open its virtual doors from tomorrow. The beta will run until the evening of September 11.

The beta will offer players the ability to play as nine characters: the Sentinel, Vanguard, Guardian, Vizier, Thespian, Deacon, Bombardier, Trickster or Champion. Four playable modes (Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch and Artifact Assault) will be available across three maps (Knight's Hospital, Antioch, Constantinople). Ubisoft assures us this is "only a sample" of the final multiplayer content.

The beta will only be available to PS3 owners between September 3 and 11. The game itself will be released on November 15, with three different special editions available alongside the standard game.
