Regardless of your views of iPhone, it's difficult to deny that Apple's handset is the most high-profile technology launch of 2007.
Between Steve Jobs' keynote at Macworld Expo in January and the iPhone's release in the US in June, tech news websites were scrambling for every last piece of detail about the product. And, if anything, the iPhone hype continued after it went on sale, with hackers trying to unlock the handset and technology reviewers seeking to cover every plus point and flaw in great detail.
You'd be forgiven for thinking no other innovative technologies were newsworthy in 2007. However, with One Laptop Per Child's XO laptop finally going into production, Asus shipping the Eee PC, Sony releasing OLED screens and other exciting advances, the past 12 months haven't been short of tech innovations.
