Inland Revenue has appointed Assurity Consulting Limited as the preferred testing services provider under the Government Electronic Tender Service Agreement.

"We're pleased to have selected a New Zealand IT company with the right skills and experience to be a part of keeping our core systems safe, secure and reliable," Inland Revenue's CTO Myles Ward said.

"The agreement was signed on 5 December and is valid for an initial term of three years. It is part of our on-going commitment to transformation."

Assurity Consulting Limited will work alongside what Inland Revenue already provides internally, and will support testing demand for projects and business-as-usual work programmes.

"Assurity was selected based on the total service they offer and also their experience, knowledge of our testing practice, and their ability to provide these services within a specified budget.

"This is an opportunity for a New Zealand service provider who has the right skills and experience to help us as we build and deliver a tax system for the future.

"This is the first of a wide variety of opportunities for New Zealand companies over the coming months and years as our transformation journey continues," Ward said.
