Brits watch more digital TV and send more text messages than any other nation in Europe, says Ofcom.
Research by the telecommunications watchdog revealed that 88 percent of Brits receive digital TV, compared to 76 percent of Americans and 72 percent of residents in France.
Ofcom also said the average TV viewing time has rise by 3.2 percent to 3.8 hours a day in the UK. However that's less than Italy, Poland, and the US.
The research highlighted that the UK sends 83 billion texts a year, coming second to the US, where the figure is 830 billion.
However, the UK is still lagging behind in terms of broadband speeds. (See: UK lags behind on super-fast broadband.)
Just 10 percent of Brits have a connection of 8Mbps or faster compared to 37 percent in the Netherlands and 33 percent in Sweden.
This research backs up recent figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that ranked the UK 21st out of 30 when it came to broadband speeds.
