The head of Intel's mobility group, Dadi Perlmutter, today outlined innovations the chip maker plans over the next few years to deliver faster and higher performance processors.

Perlmutter's main focus was Nehalem, a new microarchitecture that will replace Intel's Core chips by the end of the year. However, Intel also discussed the new Montevina platform for laptops, among other processors.
