Orange has revamped its home broadband packages to offer one of the lowest priced deals in the UK.

The Broadband and Off Peak Calls package costs Orange mobile customers £5 per month (£15 per month for non-Orange customers), and offers speeds of 'up to' 20Mbps, along with unlimited downloads and free evening and weekend calls to landlines. The package is subject to a £12.75 per month line rental fee, makinmg the total cost £17.75 per month.

The Broadband and Anytime calls costs £10 per month (£20 if you're not an Orange customer) plus £12.75 line rental and offers the same net access package as before along with anytime landline calls.

Alternatively, Simply Broadband is priced at £12.75 per month (£22.75 if you're not an Orange customer) and means you can benefit from Orange's 'up to' 20Mbps broadband packages but continue paying line rental to your existing provider.

All of the plans are subject to a 12 month contract and come McAfee Family Protection software , a wireless 'n-series' router, and access to incentives such as a Orange Film to Go.

Furthermore, Orange said it is reducing the prices on its home broadband packages in rural areas by 15 percent.

"Although financially times are tough, we believe that everyone should have access to the best value deals in the market, irrespective of where they live. That's why despite other providers raising the price of their overall packages, we're actually offering the best priced plans we can to our customers right across the nation," said Sylvain Thevenot, director of Marketing & Propositions for Orange
