Contradicting reports of a thawing relationship between Apple and Nike, the sportswear company has unveiled more plans for the firms' Nike + iPod initiative.

As explained by Stuff.tv, Nike is developing a version of the product for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The solution will embrace these devices' Wi-Fi and (eventual) 3G support to let users update training logs "on the fly", the report explains, meaning training data can be uploaded wirelessly.

Nike is also developing a version of its new Nike + Coach software, offering new running options and a calendar of training routines to help users achieve target distances.
