iComment 2.0

It is usually the case that browsing the internet is something of a solitary affair, although forums and chatrooms are available for online socialising. iComment is a browser add on for Internet Explorer and Firefox that transforms any web page into a social network. The add on makes it possible for users to post comments about the web sites they visit, and these will be visible to other visitors who also have iComment installed.

As with other social networking tools, it is possible to build up a list of friends and once this has been done, the posts and comments you leave can be made public for all users to see, or limited to a select group of friends. Whether you want to pass judgement on a particular web site or ask other site visitors for help with a piece of software, iComment has countless uses. The add on can be viewed as another social networking tool as it provides an easy means to meet people who share your interests.

You are not limited to just posting text in comments - they can also include HTML links as well as pictures and your profile can be customised to enable others to find you more easily. As an added bonus, other iComment users can rate the comments you have posted. If you receive sufficient comment approvals, the add on can start to earn you money, helping to transform the act of browsing the internet into not only a social activity but also a money making one.
