Passware Encryption Analyzer 1.5

Computers are now used to store all manner of files, and many of them contain personal information which needs to be protected. Adding a password to your user account can prevent unauthorised access to your account, but you may have decided to take things a step further and encrypt particularly sensitive files.

If you have decided to go down the encryption route, you may be interested to know just how many protected files you have stored on your hard drive, and this is precisely what Encryption Analyzer can do for you. The program can be used to perform a scan of your entire hard drive, or just a selection of folders.

Once the scan is complete, you will be presented with a list of all of the password protected and encrypted files you have stored on your computer, complete with details of the type of encryption that is in place. Encryption Analyzer will also inform you of the type of password recovery options that could be used to recover a forgotten password.

The program can be used to gain peace of mind by checking that you still remember all of the password for the files you have protected. Should you find that you have forgotten a password, the program can make use of a free demo of Passware Kit that can be used to recover a lost password - just right click a protected file to access this feature.
