It seems that new social networking and online collaboration tools are appearing on an almost daily basis, and one of the most recent is Google Wave. Offering a means of not only chatting with your contacts online, but also collaborating on documents, and much more.
Conversations are record so they can be played back at a later time and you can view all of the editing that has been performed with the text, video and maps involved in a wave. Although Google Wave is currently only a preview programme, a large number of tester invites have been sent out so the service has a reasonably sized user base already.
Google Wave Notifier is a simple system tray tools which keeps you up to date about unread messages that have been sent to your Google Wave account. The interval at which the program checks for you new messages can be adjusted and you can choose whether notification should be in the form of balloon popups, sounds or both.
This is a something of a limited tool, but it saves you from having to manually check your Google account leaving you more time to get on with other activities.
