Cobian Backup 10.1.1

Hardware failure, a virus, power outage, software bug, human error - there are many reasons why you might lose valuable data, and so running a backup occasionally is really a very good idea. It's quicker, easier and much less hassle than you think, especially with a tool like Cobian Backup.

The program makes it straightforward to define the files and folders you'd like to protect, for instance. Just select them in Explorer, and drag and drop them onto Cobian Backup's "Source" box.

You're able to improve backup speeds by running differential or incremental backup types, which save only new or modified files. Optional ZIP or 7Z compression then works to further reduce the backup archive size.

A comprehensive scheduler lets you set up unattended backups to run whenever you like: on particular weekdays, weekly, monthly and more.

And there's a host of backup extras: include and exclude filters, strong encryption for your backups, the ability to run the tasks you define both before and after the backup, and more.

And if that's not enough, the author also claims that this new beta version has increased backup speeds by up to 200%: sounds good to us.
