Panda Cloud Antivirus Free 1.5.1

The number and range of threats that can be encountered when your computer is connected to the internet means that security software is essential. There is no shortage of antivirus tools to choose from, but many of them come with a number of associated drawbacks. Cost can be offputting, and a large proportion of security tools can slow down Windows by occupying large amounts of memory. Panda Cloud Antivirus is different as it takes advantage of cloud computing.

This means that much of the program's work is carried out on a remote server, taking the load of your own computer. By connecting program users from around the world through the cloud, any suspicious file activity that is detected which may be indicative of a new virus strain can be quickly reported to others so the necessary evasive action can be taken.

While Panda Cloud Antivirus makes very light use of resources, it does lack a scheduling option. That said, realtime monitoring and manual scans offer enough protection for most people and is particularly suited to older computers or less powerful machines such as laptops and netbooks.

The is the new Panda Cloud 1.5, with new features including:

-Scanning speeds have been improved dramatically.
-CPU consumption has been reduced thanks to improvements in the BackgroundScan.
-New graphical installer.
-Ability to close the banner.
-New advanced configuration options for exclusions of files by extension, Potentially Unwanted Programs and more.
-Activity monitor shows scanned files and last virus detected.
-Report now includes entries for Collective Intelligence cache synchronizations.
