Status Board 1.0

Status Board is an extremely customizable dashboard app for iPad that enables you to see a wide range of information in the same place at a glance. Eliminating the need to switch between apps to view different data, this is a utility that comprises numerous data panels that can be tailored to suit your needs. Want to be able to see your Twitter feeds and email in the same place? Not a problem. Want to keep an eye on the weather whilst also having your calendar to hand? Status Board can help.

While it is not possible to have the app automatically launch so it is the first thing you see when you switch on your iPad, it is possible to see a wealth of information by launching a single app. There are six readymade panels for you to choose from – clock, weather, calendar, mail, Twitter and feeds – and each of these can be customized to display data that’s relevant to you.

But there is also scope for additional personalization through the use of ‘pro’ panels. Graphs can be used to show a graphical representation of all sort of information, while tables are also available to show off other data. If you fancy getting a little more hands on, you can use HTML to create your own panels from the ground up.

Each panel can be resized, moved around, displayed in portrait and landscape mode and more. If you create a layout that you’re particular pleased with, there is the option to share them with others. This is great in small businesses where companies are looking to create a uniform experience, but it is also a way for anyone to share their design skills with the world.
