Google Calendar 201210120

Most people with a mobile phone take advantage of the built in calendar apps to keep track f what they have to do over the coming days, weeks and months. If you have an Android device, you have a wealth of choice available to you and, being a Google operating system, it makes sense to too lo Google for a calendar app. Google Calendar is a competent replacement for whatever tool you may be using at the moment that has all the bases covered.

As you would expect, you can choose between a variety of views which will prove useful in different circumstances depending on the amount of data you have to display and how you like to navigate through it. Day, week, month and agenda views are available and you can easily switch between modes using the drop down menu. The sparse interface is also home to a ‘jump to today’ button.

One area in which Google Calendar really shines is setting up events with invitees and multiple reminders. While many calendar apps only let you create a single reminder for an event, here you can create as many as you like, ranging from emails to o-screen notifications. You can also invites to people you would like to attend a particular event and it is possible to send a mass email to all invitees complete with a custom message.

The app syncs with your Google account and you can choose which of your calendars you would like to work with. If you have more than one Google account, there is nothing to stop you from adding two or more – although there is no way to adjust the colors of appointments to help make them easier to differentiate from each other.
